DONALD BROWN
Donald O. Brown, 84, of Powhatan Point, OH died Monday, March 30, 2020 at his home. He was born July 8, 1935 in Powhatan Point, a son of the late Robert Odell Brown and Dolly Hess Brown-Goudy.
Don was a retired employee of Operative Plasterers & Cement Masons, a member of American Legion Post #228 and proudly served in the U.S. Army.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Friend J. Goudy; a brother, Marvin Brown; a sister, Muriel Coleman.
Surviving are his children, Penny Dierkes of Powhatan Point, Lori (Mark) Lucas of Clarington, OH and Dawn Renee (Chad) Kuhn of Woodsfield, OH; his ex-wife and friend, Shirley Hollingshead Brown of Powhatan Point; a brother, Robert Brown of Petaluma, CA; grandchildren, Corey Knight, Jeffrey Knight, Larissa Longwell, Lakyn Merrifield, Landyn Lucas, Chelsea Masters, Camden Dierkes, Chandler Kuhn and Carson Kuhn; great grandchildren, Hunter, Rylee, Brody, Brooklyn, Korbin, Kahne, Elliot, Hazel, Roen, Beckett; several nieces and nephews; his beloved dogs, Lo Bo and Jo Jo.
Private visitation will be held on Thursday from 10 a.m. until time of service at noon at Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 186 Main Street Powhatan Point, OH 43942 with private services held with Pastor Lorna Knight officiating.
Burial will follow in Powhatan Cemetery with full Military Honors conducted by Powhatan Honor Guard.
