JAMES MUNIZ

James (Whitey), 87, spent 5 years coping with congestive heart failure and Alzheimer’s. Herecently passed peacefully at home, leaving to spend eternity with our Lord Jesus.

He was born and raised in Martins Ferry, known to everyone as Whitey, the cottonhead Muniz boy. At 17 years old he joined the Army, serving four years mostly in Korea. After receiving an Honorable discharge in 1952, Jamed married, establishing a home in Sacramento, CA.

He was preceded in death by parents Max and Rosetta Muniz, four sisters and 3 brothers, all of Martins Ferry, OH.

James leaves Ruby, his wife of 67 years, two sons Larry Muniz of Lacy Washington and David Muniz of Sacramento, CA.

James was a loving, supportive husband and father. An extroidinary grand parent. Grandfather of 5, great grandfather of ix, great, great grandfather of two.

Jim, as he was known by everyone in Sacramento, worked for Pacific Telephone 35 years. Retired at age 55, enjoying his retirement building flower planters, growing a garden and giving his neighbors a helping hand when needed.
