CATHY MEIGH
Cathy L. Meigh, 59, of Colerain, OH, passed away Friday, October 16, 2020, at The James, Ohio State University, Columbus, OH. She was born July 5, 1961, in Wheeling, WV, a daughter of Richard Meigh and the late Evelyn “Mickey” (Maguire) Meigh.
Cathy was a very loving daughter, sister, niece, aunt, friend, and dog mom. She loved her dogs, helping others, volunteering for special causes, fishing, gardening, woodworking, cutting grass, and the Cactus Cafe.
An advocate for cancer research, Cathy was an avid supporter of Relay for Life, serving as team captain, team member, and caregiver for many years.
Cathy was proceeded in death by her mother, Evelyn (Maguire) Meigh. Surviving are her father, Richard T. Meigh of Colerain and Dessie Shrieve of St. Clairsville, OH, a sister, Cindy (Roger) Partridge of Berlin, MD, a brother, Steve (Lynn) Meigh of Avon Lake, OH, nieces, Melissa (Jean) Cabrera, Samantha (Brandon) Coe, nephew, Shaun Meigh, great-nieces, Caitlyn Simpson, Alyvia and Sara Meigh, Sadie Jo Coe, great-nephews, Braydon and Soyer Coe, SIL Vicky (Jim) Fox, Aunt and Uncle, Bruce (Jean) Maguire, her special cousin, Rich Maguire, who helped her in many ways, several other cousins and her beloved dog, Shasta.
By Cathy’s request, a private family viewing will be held at Heslop Funeral Home, 415 Walnut St., Martins Ferry, OH. All are welcome to graveside services, Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at 2:15 p.m. at Holly Memorial Gardens, Pleasant Grove, OH.
