LAWRENCE FALBO SR

Lawrence P. Falbo Sr, 98, of Shadyside, Ohio passed away peacefully on Tuesday May 4, 2021 at the Kobacker House in Columbus, Ohio

He was born in Yorkville, Ohio on December 17, 1922, a son of the late Michael and Mammie Columbo Falbo.

Larry was a principal at the Shadyside High School until his retirement. Larry was a member of the Dapper Dan, the 200 Club, Ohio River Valley Elks, former Athletic Director for Shadyside High School and past board member of the Shadyside School Board. He was a United States Air Force Veteran, having served in World War II.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Yaterka Falbo on February 19, 2007, his brothers; Frank, John, Donnie and Mike Falbo, sisters; Letta DeFrank, Agnes DeFrank, Louise Burelli, Virginia Falbo, Florence Falbo, and Edith Large.

Larry is survived by his children, Rebecca (Dave) Andreas of Columbus, Ohio, Larry (Susan) Falbo Jr. of Shadyside, Ohio, and Dina (Harley)Williams of Bexley, Ohio, brother Don Falbo of Martins Ferry, Ohio and a special friend, Jean Jericho of Shadyside, Ohio. Also, seven grand- children, Lawrence P. (Brittany) Falbo III, Katelyn E. (Jason) Ogden, Samuel J. Falbo, Jenna L. Andreas, Molly R. Williams, Anne M. Williams, and Elizabeth S. Williams and six great grandchildren, Lane, Avery and Hallie Falbo, Nate, Ella and Claire Ogden.

Family and friends will be received at the Bauknecht-Altmeyer Funeral Homes & Crematory 3900 Central Avenue Shadyside, Ohio on Friday from 1 to 3 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m.

The Falbo family requests that masks & social distancing be observed.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family with Rev. Seth Filburn officiating. Burial to follow in the Linwood Cemetery, Blaine Ohio with full Military Honors by the Belmont County Veterans Honor Guard.

A celebration of life service will be observed at a later date.
