LOWELL HOSTETLER

Lowell R. Hostetler of Mt. Pleasant, Ohio went to be with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on January 22, 2022 at 10:22 am from his home with his wife and daughters by his bedside.

He had dealt with Alzheimer’s Disease since 2016.

Lowell was born on March 19, 1934, to the late James Raymond and Margaret Roberts Hostetler at the Family’s Dairy Farm in Rayland, Ohio. Lowell graduated from Mt. Pleasant High School, in the Class of 1954. He was a Presbyterian by Faith and was a Trustee and a Deacon within the church. He was a veteran from the United States Army from 1956 – 1958 in Korea.

Lowell is survived by his wife Sandra of 63 years and his brother Bernard (Rose) Hostetler of Ripley, Tennessee with many nieces and nephews.

Together Lowell and Sandra raised five daughters: Debi Holloway, Elyria, Ohio; Glenda Dulkoski (Edward), Adena, Ohio; Kim Siburt (Robert), Sevierville, Tennessee; Robin Crothers, Mt. Pleasant, Ohio and Lee Anne Pytlak, St. Clairsville, Ohio. They enjoyed nine grandchildren, starting with Natalie (Steve), Laura, Jason (Christina), Gretchen (Casey), Nicholas, Kasey (Mike), Darin (Teddi), Abbey and Justin and also shared 13 great-grandchildren, starting with Colton, Elijah, Haley Renee, Isabel, Haley Elizabeth, Gideon, Keira, Kaitlin, Carly, Emily, Joseph, Vincent, Dominic and a baby due in March.

Lowell was preceded in death by his sister Sarah Truini and brother- in-law Joseph Truini; his brothers George and Richard; and grandson Justin Pytlak.

Family and Friends will be received on Thursday, 1-27-2022 at Borkoski’s Funeral Home in Tiltonsville, Ohio from 2 – 8 pm. Funeral service will be held at the First Presbyterian Church in Mt. Pleasant, Ohio on Friday, 1-28-2022 at 10 am until the time of service at 11 am. Interment to follow at Holly Memorial Gardens.
