Cleaner Bellaire

Dear Editor,

With all the troubling news that has been coming out of Bellaire lately, I am happy to report some good news.

The Bellaire Park Restoration Committee has been at it again. The Union Street parking lot where the Farmer’s Market is held was our focal point on Saturday, April 3.

Between 9 a.m. and noon, Bellaire’s frontage, from the Salvation Army to the BP Station was mowed, trimmed, mulched and generally cleaned up.

Helping in our efforts were Cub Scout Pack III, members of the Farmer’s Market, Dave Shaffer’s ODOT crew, Mayor Vince DeFabrizio, Bellaire Chamber of Commerce, Hughes Xerographic, Ohio Valley Chiropractic, LaRoche Tree Service and Tri-Son Concrete. Thank you to all these hard workers.

An especially generous effort was made last fall that was not recognized. Kucera Plumbing and Heating as well as Erb Electric donated labor and materials for our city park fountain. The Park Restoration Committee purchased a water re-circulating pump and these two local businesses took care of the rest.

Team work and cooperation are working toward making a better Bellaire!

Committee Members,

Dr. Jeff Hoepfner
