Jefferson JVS

Dear Editor:

There is a growing need in the economy for skilled workers and the JVS is working hard to meet that need. Every day we try to provide students the technical skills that will be necessary to become productive workers. Instructors align the curriculum to meet workforce demands and this alignment is guided by advisory committees comprised of representatives from business and industry. They share what competencies students should master to be successful in the workplace.

Our staff’s understanding of their content area is outstanding but they still need updated equipment and the latest technology to ensure our students are receiving the highest quality education available. We are looking to upgrade our vocational programs and make much needed improvements to our facility.

The list of equipment to be purchased is quite extensive so, if you have any questions or desire specific information about the improvements we will be making in each of the programs; please call me.

So, on behalf of the Board of Education and JVS Staff, I say thank you for your ongoing support to our school and being a partner in helping us provide quality programs that train students to meet employers’ needs in today’s ever-changing economy. We realize it is with joint endeavors that we can continue to provide students with the skills and knowledge required for employment and advancement in the work force.
