Dear Editor,

… just like the Ohio Valley Steel Mills…ironclad men of the trapping industry are rusting away one by one.

…including myself, trappers are a tiny group -out numbered by people that don’t fish, hunt and trap.

…by getting to much of the wrong information relating to those matters – they can and will out-vote us.

…for instance, politically minded groups like PETA – don’t understand the natural world and the validity of fishing, hunting, and trapping.

…they want to put a stop to hunting and trapping, even though records, obtained from the Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services, show that PETA killed 97 percent of the adoptable pets in its care during 2009.

…surveys show that active outdoor types are more than 15 percent less likely to vote than those who do not participate in outdoor sports.

…in a free republic – you can go tell it to a fence post – but freedom is not free, every hunter and trapper should take part in the solution – its a simple message – with the coming elections…don’t be outsmarted and out-voted…
