Dana McGrew

Dear Editor,

I read with interest the letter from Dana McGrew, about paper carriers and the comment that delivering newspapers isn’t a real job. I can identify with that.

As a retired employee of the W. V. D.O.T.

I had to deal with the public and sometimes they could be mean. The favorite comment was “get to work and stop leaning on the shovels.”

The public sees what they want to and never what they should, there were a couple of songs that had lines in them… “Walk a mile in my shoes,” and “Before you accuse me, take a look at yourself.” We are not to judge, that is up to God.

To the persons who think you don’t do a real job, what if God said, “Get a real life or you will be sorry when you come to me on judgment day.”

So, keep on delivering the newspapers and take pride in what you do and remember that thanks to you, 160 people get to read the local newspaper, every day.

Good Job.
