I think the council and Dan Brown ought to quit playing the little kids games, name calling and bickering back and forth. No wonder noone has any respect for this town. everyone needs to grow up or resign.

Bubba, I believe your comments are made based upon false data. The R rated movies that were proposed were not only not approved but were voted down at the 1st Zombie board meeting. The problem came from a few people that decided that not only this event was "a personal shot at a council person but is some kind of "demon orgy". Both of which are very untrue. Again I was out of town for the last council meeting where I could have responded to the idiocy going on in council chambers. I will gladly be at the next meeting and will answer any questions council has about the festival. Just for a note Bubba; "a simple question asked can make all of the difference in the world", but of course they did not even give the time away to ask said question. That speaks volumes!

Where did council receive more information from? A certain person and her sidekicks? Interesting that this decision was made when the promoter of the event was not at the council meeting. Can anyone PROVE that it was intended to be an R-rated public film fest? Let's just cancel all activities in the park, including Boo in the Park and World Day of Prayer and anything else that doesn't fit into someone's idea of what is right. Wonder what kind of a reaction that would get? As for council making wise decisions, that is debatable. It is time for a new regime in this town before there is nothing left. If you don't approve of zombies, then don't attend. It is called FREEDOM, people. Not everyone has to like the same thing.

It's my understanding that there isn't R rated movies in the plan. I would also like to know when Bellaire became so righteous and holy when they supported witchcraft and a so called haunted house that was haunted by evil beings with violent attacks. What a joke.
