CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — Students and faculty from medical schools at Marshall and West Virginia universities are gathering in Charleston for an education conference.
The inaugural Gold Humanism Educational Summit is scheduled for Friday at the state Culture Center.
The event will include panel discussions among students and practicing physicians involving a variety of medical topics.
The Gold Humanism Honor Society salutes senior medical students, residents, and faculty for excellence in clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service. Established in 2002, the GHHS is an international association of individuals and medical school chapters.
