WHEELING - A new MedExpress Urgent Care is scheduled to open its newest center next week at the former Hosss restaurant in the Elm Grove Crossing Mall in Wheeling.
MedExpress will host a pre-opening event from noon to 2 p.m. Tuesday with a ribbon cutting at 1 p.m.
The Elm Grove center will begin seeing patients on Wednesday.
In celebration of the Elm Grove opening, MedExpress will be making a donation of $5,000 to Oglebay Institute's The REACH Program, which focuses on increasing knowledge, retention and literacy in environmental sciences.
The check will be presented at the pre-opening celebration Tuesday.
MedExpress is a full-service, walk-in urgent care center that treats patients of all ages for injury and illness, including the flu, asthma attacks, broken bones, cuts requiring stitches and more. MedExpress also offers a variety of medical and preventive care services, such as digital X-rays, EKGs, physicals, flu shots, IVs and lab work.
There is always a physician on site, supported by a full medical team.
