Is it not extremely ironic and strangely bizarre when claims are leveled by the conservative media elite (i.e. Fox News and Conservative Talk Radio) against other more legitimate news outlets when their accusatory demagoguery is not accepted without question, as having a "liberal bias"?
Accusing others pathetically of what they are most guilty of: presenting the news in a manner that best serves their political philosophy and disparaging those with when they may disagree is simply their mode of operation.
Making such an absolute all-inclusive charge is of itself ludicrous and of the highest degree of improbability.
How is it even remotely possible that our nation's news is inordinately presented with a "liberal slant" when the vast majority of those in positions of ownership and/or management of our nation's media outlets are Republican/ Conservative by party/ political philosophical affiliation?
By and large, I feel that those involved in reporting and presenting the news are dedicated professionals who do their jobs quite well and serve their profession admirably.
On a local level, is there any evidence that our local media has any such bias in its reporting?
I strongly believe that our local media essentially presents the news at a very high level of professionalism and objectively and should be respected and praised for their quality of work.
Members of the vast conservative entertainment elite, such as Limbaugh, Beck, Hannity, Savage, etc., who have virtually no journalist credentials, have become very wealthy as essentially "news entertainers," who consistently issue outrageous claims and charges, while never being subjected to serious fact checking and objective scrutiny.
The aforementioned and others of their ilk consistently distract, distort and mislead while claiming this to be the exercising of their right of "freedom of speech."
However, they view "freedom of speech" as their sole domain, and feel such rights of those with whom they disagree should not be granted such a high level of this basic Freedom.
