CRUM, Clayton

CRUM, Clayton Eugene, 84, of Jerusalem, died Friday, May 10 in UPMC Hospital, Pittsburgh.

He was born June 29, 1928 near Beallsville a son of the late Roscoe and Freda Howell Crum.

He was a retired employee of the former CONALCO plant near Hannibal, a U.S. Army Veteran of the Korean War, a member of American Legion Post 768, Sunsbury Lodge 362 and OES 24.

In addition to his parents, Clayton was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy Mercer Crum on December 15, 1996; an infant daughter, Tama Lodena; two brothers, Chalmer and Bernard Crum; three sisters, Velma Hickman, Hazel Jenewein, and Zella Caldwell.

Surviving are four sons, Reggie (Marlene) Crum of SC, Brent (Pat) Crum, Brian "Buck" Crum (Sylvia Bowen), and Shawn (Renee) Crum, all of Beallsville; a daughter, Thalia (Tod) Kahrig of Miltonsburg; 11 grandchildren, Holli and Brian Crum, Tenice Decker, Talisa Crum, Tiffany Woodell, Brianna McConnell, Amanda Crum, Quinn, Alona, and Gavin Kahrig, and Pazeley Crum; eight great- grandchildren, Beth Sexton, Carter McConnell, Mathen and Tayla Decker, Rylan Kinzy, Nylie Woodell, Liana and Haydn Bullington; a brother, Gerald (Nellie) Crum of Beallsville; four sisters, Joan Decker and Freda May Barkheimer of Massilon, Donna Ruth (Bill) Kettering of Malvern, and Patty Lou (Eugene) VanDyne of Beallsville.

Visitation will be Monday 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at the Harper Funeral Home, Beallsville where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. Interment follows in Beallsville Cemetery with full military honors.

Masonic services will be conducted Monday at 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
