MARTINS FERRY - If you listen long enough, you will inevitably hear someone complain that they are bored because there is nothing to do. This problem is not unique to the Ohio Valley. No matter where you travel, there will always be people who believe that they live in an area lacking in entertainment. We say nonsense. Here are The Times Leader, we know there is a plethora of exciting opportunities just waiting for Ohio Valley residents to experience. And this special section, appropriately dubbed ‘100 Things to Do’ in the Ohio Valley, is going to show you just how many exciting events, activities and attractions there are out there to participate it. We’ll tell you when and where they are and how to take advantage of them. We’re even providing phone numbers and website addresses in case you still need a bit more info before deciding to get up out of that chair, head out and have a good time. Opportunities to have that good time will be broken down into categories: sightseeing, recreation, lakes, cultural activities, festivals, entertainment and sports. Some of these are free. Some are not. All are easily accessible, located within, at most, a couple hours travel time. All are ready and available for Ohio Valley residents, and those beyond, to come and take full advantage of. There’s plenty to do in the Ohio Valley and we here at The Times Leader are going to show you. So flip through the pages of the special section and get a good grasp on just what is available out there. Like outdoor festivals? Head over to the Pennyroyal Opera House or partake in one of three different Bluegrass in the Hills events in Hopedale. There are outdoor recreation activities aplenty. There are opportunities for learning and growth at museums. The opportunities are endless. Now get out there and have a good time. There’s obviously plenty to do.
