FOOTBALL

AUSTIN DORRIS, Shadyside - Ran for two touchdowns and 98 yards while also passing for a six-pointer in the Tigers' win at Meadowbrook. In addition, he added a pair of 2-point conversion runs.

MARCUS SUTTON, Martins Ferry - Carried the leather 11 times for 124 yards and a TD as the Purple Riders ran away from Allderdice.

BRUCE BURGER, Martins Ferry - Accumulated 108 yards and a trio of touchdowns on just eight carries. Defensively, he registered five tackles.

ARJAY BURRESS, Martins Ferry - Toted the pigskin 10 times for 96 yards and six points.

ROBERT VARGO, Martins Ferry - Caught a pair of passes for 42 yards from his tight end slot. On defense, he logged five tackles.

LUKE STRAUB, Martins Ferry - Charted nine tackles, including two for minus yardage. Graded out at 96 percent as an offensive guard.

Q.J. WILLIAMS, Bridgeport - Was all over the field for the Bulldogs in their season-opening win over Columbiana before he injured an ankle. On offense, he ran the ball 11 times for 43 yards. He also caught five passes for 73 additional stripes. Defensively, he charted 10 tackles.

BRYCE CROSS, River - Charted 10 solo tackles and three assists in the Pilots' loss at Fort Frye. One of his tackles for behind the line of scrimmage. Offensively, he landed three passes for 26 yards.

JORDAN SAPP, River - Carried the ball 21 times for 150 yards and a touchdown.

LEVI BROWN, Monroe Central-Had just four carries but gained 104 yards, including a 92-yard scoring run. He also caught a 40-yard touchdown pass in the Seminoles' loss to Union Local.

CORDELL GAUDING, Monroe Central - Charted 11 tackles and recorded a quarterback sack. One of his tackles was for minus yardage.

CHASE MERCER, Beallsville - Completed six of 15 passes for 115 yards and a touchdown in the Blue Devils setback to Madonna. He gained 17 yards rushing on seven carries. On defense, he had a solo tackle and an assist.

DALTON SECREST, Beallsville - Graded out at 95 percent from his offensive ine spot. Defensively, he recorded 12 tackles, which included seven solo stops, two assists, two for minus yards and a quarterback sack.

JAYLON BROWN, St. Clairsville-This Youngstown State recruit lugged the leather 27 times for 205 yards and a pair of touchdowns. He also landed a 67-yard touchdown pass.

ZAK MUSILLI, St. Clairsville-Was 3-for-3 on point-after kicks and also nailed a 36-yard field goal in win at Claymont.

JOEL GIFFIN, St. Clairsville - Graded out at 86.2 percent from his right tackle spot. Was in on four tackles defensively.

VOLLEYBALL

MORGAN CARPENTER, Martins Ferry-Scored 18 points and charted 22 assists, 15 digs, 10 kills and a pair of aces in three games.

TYRAH KING, Martins Ferry-Had 24 points, 30 kills, six aces, three digs and two blocks.

SHAYE DELEONARDIS, Martins Ferry-Knocked down 22 points while charting 31 assists, 21 digs, 10 kills, four aces and two blocks.
