DALTON SECREST, Beallsville - recorded five quarterback sacks, one solo tackle and two assists, along with a tackle for lost yardage in the Blue Devils' victory. He also graded out at 95 percent on the offensive line.

BRUCE SEFERT, Beallsville - Accounted for 74 yards on 16 carries and scored a pair of TDs. Also caught a pass fro nine yards. On defense, he had two sacks, three solo tackles, an assist and two tackles for minus yards.

DEREK LUCAS, Beallsville - Did a little bit of everything for the Blue Devils. On offense, he caught 10 passes for 62 yards and a touchdown. He also caught three 2-point conversions. defensively, he charted a solo stop and assisted on another while picking off a pass he returned 11 yards. He returned one kickoff five yards.

CHASE MERCER, Beallsville - Had an outstanding game passing against Strasburg as he went 21-for-28 for 125 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran the ball seven times for 43 yards. On defense, he made three solo tackles and assisted on a trio of others.

MIKE PALMER, Beallsville - Returned a punt 78 yards for a touchdown. Carried the ball eight times for 60 yards and completed his only pass attempt. He also had a 2-point conversion. Defensively, he was in on one solo stop and one assist.

JOSH SCHNEGG, Barnesville - Made 10 tackles in a loss at Meadowbrook, with seven being of the solo variety.

BRAD TOMOLONIS, Bridgeport - Recorded a team-high 11 tackles and sacked the quarterback once in a setback at Toronto.

JACK FITCH, Martins Ferry - Ran an interception back 90 yards to get the Purple Riders off to a good start against Wickliffe. Also charted five tackles and had a 22-yard catch.

BRUCE BURGER, Martins Ferry - Had just five carries for 37 yards and a TD. Made eight tackles and sacked the quarterback once on defense.

ROBERT VARGO, Martins Ferry - Graded out at 96 percent from his tight end slot. On defense he had six tackles, with two being behind the line of scrimmage.

CURTIS NIXON, Monroe Central - Moved to quarterback, he completed 13 passes for 174 yards. He scored a touchdown rushing and made 11 tackles on defense. In addition, he returned a kickoff 95 yards for six points in the loss to Shadyside.

MIKE JONES, Monroe Central - Had a team-best 12 tackles, one for minus yards, and recovered a fumble.

BEN COLEMAN, St. Clairsville - Picked off a pass on the first play of the game, returning it 26 yards for six points. Finished with five tackles in win over Cleveland Whitney Young.

MALIK GUMMER, St. Clairsville - Returned a punt 38 yards for a touchdown and caught a pair of passes for 39 yards, with one being a 12-yard touchdown. Ran one time for 36 yards and intercepted a pass. Had a second punt return for six called back because of a penalty.

NICK VANVOLTENBURG, St. Clairsville - Graded out at 87 percent from his right guard position.

BRYCE BURNETT, St. Clairsville - He picked up a blocked punt and ran it in from eight yards out for six points. Also charted three tackles.

AUSTIN DORRIS, Shadyside - Lugged the leather 15 times for 98 yards. He also completed 11 of 13 passes for 170 yards and a touchdown in win at Monroe Central.

TATER BLAKE, Union Local - Carried the ball eight times for 32 yards and a touchdown in win over Buckeye Local. Caught one pass for three yards. Defensively, he had three quarterback sacks along with six solo tackles and four assists. Four of these tackles came behind the line of scrimmage.

SPENCER WARE, Union Local - Caught three passes for 109 yards and two touchdowns. Defensively, he had a tackle for minus yardage.

MASON FRIEDE, Union Local - Tied for the team lead with eight solo tackles. He also had an assist and two tackles behind the line of scrimmage. He also recovered a fumble.

COLTON McKIVITZ, Union Local - Recorded two assists as a defensive tackle, while also grading out very well along the offensive line.


BRIGEE MICK, St. Clairsville - Was a standout at the net for the Lady Red Devils, who went 2-2 on the week. The senior captain charted 26 kills, 62 points, 16 aces and 24 digs from her outside hitter spot.
