VOLLEYBALL ROUNDUP: St. C. posts sweep of Buckeye Local

St. Clairsville made quick work of Buckeye Local Monday evening, prevailing in three games by scores of 25-15, 25-9 and 25-12.

Brigee Mick had 21 points, six aces, six digs and eight kills. Rebekah Sadlowski had nine points, six kills and and a block. Gabbie Espen had 30 assists.

Megan Teater had nine points, while Kipra Rhodes had 18 points and five kills.

Morgan Fedorko led Buckeye Local with four kills. Becky Zeroski had 11 digs. Kylle Lovinski added nine digs and had two aces.

Bridgeport sweeps Shadyside

Bridgeport scored a repeat sweep against Shadyside Monday evening, posting a 25-18, 25-12 and 25-17 scores.

The now 9-7 Lady Bulldogs were led by Maclaine Murad's 12 points, two aces, nine digs and three kills. Cheyenne Flowers added four aces and five kills. Alysa Crook donated 10 points, six aces, 16 assists and two kills. Amber Millard added nine points, two aces and five kills. Ali Baker had five points, three aces and five kills.

The Lady Tigers were paced by Kenzie Fielding's three points, five kills and a block. Jonna Eniex had nine points and five assists.

Martins Ferry cruises past UL

Martins Ferry swept Union Local in three games, winning by scores of 25-13, 25-12 and 25-22.

The Lady Riders were paced on the stat sheet by Katie Sutherland's 15 points, two aces, seven kills, two blocks and two digs. Morgan Carptner added 10 points, eight assists, five kills and four digs.

Tyrah King recorded a team-high 13 kills, while Shaye DeLeonardis donated 12 assists and nine kills. Brooklyn Monroe had eight points, eight digs and two kills. Lauren Bennett had eight points and 10 digs.

Union Local was led by Bashline's 14 points, three aces and 10 assists. Carlile and Earliwine evenly split 16 digs. Wiseman had 10 points and three blocks.

River sweeps triangular

River swept a triangular at Paden City Monday evening, toppling the Lady Wildcats, 25-21 and 25-10. The Lady Pilots then prevailed against Cameron by scores of 25-8 and 25-9.

Against Paden City, Mackenzie Marshall had 17 points, two aces and seven digs. Jensen Caretti was charted for eight kills, five blocks and six digs. Monica Curtis had eight assists and eight digs. Amanda Bennett had 15 points and two aces.

Against Cameron, the Lady Pilots were paced by Caretti's 15 points, six kills and seven aces. Monica Curtis had 12 assists. Marshall had eight points, three aces, three kills and seven digs. Abby Caldwell had 10 points and five aces. Bennett had seven points and three aces.

Beallsville sweeps Valley

Maegan Atkinson totaled 16 points and seven aces as Beallsville (3-10) topped Valley 25-18, 26-24 and 25-17.

Morgan Marley added 14 assists and five points, Laikyn Tubaugh had nine kills and five points, Ella Campbell scored 10 points and had seven aces and Rikki Decker had eight points and seven aces.

Trail keeps winning

Lexe Starr scored 16 points and had 10 digs, 11 kills and seven blocks as Buckeye Trail downed Meadowbrook 25-21, 25-15, 24-26 and 25-22.

Jennifer Burga added 42 assists and 10 points, while Josie Hensley had 10 points, 13 digs and 16 kills.

Barnesville sweeps Caldwell

Paige Huntsman had eight pointsm five aces, eight kills, 13 assists and nine digs as Barnesville downed Caldwell 25-15, 25 14, 25-19.

Miranda Plumly added 16 kills, 11 digs and five points for the Shamrocks, while Layna Broomhall had 13 assists and six points and Sydney Ralston had five points and six kills.
