STEUBENVILLE - State-ranked Bridgeport overcame a slow start Friday night, but picked up the pace in rolling to its 19th straight victory, 69-33, over homestanding Steubenville Central.
The Bulldogs, who were fourth in the latest Associated Press Division IV poll, trailed 9-8 after eight minutes but led 22-15 at the halftime break.
A 22-8 third-quarter scoring advantage put the game out of reach.
Sophomore dandy Caitlyn Kroll scored a game-best 22 points while also pulling down a game-high 11 rebounds.
Seniors Amber Millard (18), Maclaine Murad (14) and Nicole Smolenak (13) teamed for 45 markers.
Smolenak also charted four assists and five steals.
Top-seeded Bridgeport hosts No. 4 Wheeling Central Monday in a Wheeling Hospital OVAC Class 2A semifinal.

Friday night inside the John J. Havlicek Gymnasium, the Bulldogs (10-6) exacted revenge on the Cougars by the count of 86-55. With the win, head coach Donnie Cash's squad took a major step in securing a Wheeling Hospital OVAC Class 2A playoff berth.
J.C. Cash, the coach's nephew, scored a season-high 20 points to lead four Bridgeport players in twin figures.
Bailey McGrath drained five treys en route to 19 points.
QJ Williams added 14 and Parker Dyson 13.
Beallsville 75, St. John 60
BEALLSVILLE - Tristan palmer poured in a game-high 26 points as Beallsville downed St. John.
Chad Louden added 15 points for the Blue Devils, while Dalton Secrest had 13.
Garrett Holubeck paced the Irish with 19 points, while Guy Pagano had 18 points. Lance Williams chipped in with 12 points.
SARAHSVILLE - Merritt Flood poured in 17 points and Stanley Gutkowski added 11 as Shenandoah edged River, 46-37, Friday in boys' high school basketball action at Shenandoah High School.
Flood added nine rebounds and eight assists for the Zeps (3-15).
Ryan Indermuhle paced the Pilots with nine points.
Conotton Valley 70, East Richland Christian 52
Joel Mott poured in a game-high 23 points for East Richland Christian, but it wasn't enough as the Royals fell to Conotton Valley.
Logan Lish added 11 points for ERC.
Brandon McCreary paced the Rockets with 20 points. Brett Bower added 17 points, while Noah Beamer had 10.
