PREP ROUNDUP: Louden goes for 33 as Beallsville rolls
BEALLSVILLE — Ashlie Louden tourched the nets for 30 points Monday night as Beallsville secured the top seed in next week’s OVAC Class 1A girls’ basketball tournament with a 64-33 victory against Caldwell.
Louden hit four 3s and was 6 of 6 from the line as the Blue Devils improved to 16-3 and will play host to Hundred in a semifinal tilt next Monday.
Ashley Howell added 16 points for Beallsville.
Barnesville 57, Bridgeport 43
WOLFHURST — Rylee Stephens scored a team-high 22 points as Barnesville surged past Bridgeport on Frank Baxter Court.
Halle Markovich added 13 points for the Shamrocks (7-11).
Jaren Tucker drained six 3s en route to scoring a game-high 27 points for the Bulldogs (2-17).
Kayleigh Roberts added 10 points for Bridgeport.
River 45, Frontier 28
BEAVERTON — Alli Long scored 19 points leading River past Frontier.
Hannah Raper added nine points for the Pilots (6-14).
Indian Creek 75, Harrison Central 27
WINTERSVILLE — Sloane Lewis and Ally Tweedy tallied 15 points in the first quarter, as the duo provided a much-needed spark to enable Indian Creek to shake off a slow start.
Four players finished in double figures for the Redskins. Tweedy posted a game-high 18 points, Makenzie Taylor 14, Kylie Kiger 13 and Lewis 11. Taylor Jones ended up scoring nine.
McKayla Dunkle collected a team-high 12 points to lead the way for the Huskies (1-18).
