STEWART — It took Bridgeport all of one week to equal its 2019 win total.

The Bulldogs made the more than two-hour road trip to Athens County to take on Federal Hocking and overcame a 1-hour, 45-minute weather delay.

In the end, however, it all proved to be worth it for the Bulldogs who posted a 15-6 victory.

After spotting Federal Hocking a touchdown lead, the Bulldogs answered when freshman Quinton Burlenski caught a 13-yard touchdown pass from Colin Jackson. Frank Smith connected on the PAT.

Bridgeport’s special teams then delivered by blocking a punt and it resulted in a safety, giving the Bulldogs a 9-6 lead.

After the weather delay, Jason Aubrey closed the scoring with a 25-yard run.
