Harrison, Buckeye golfers win; UL, St. C. triumph in volleyball

Harrison edges JM

CADIZ — Harrison Central edged John Marshall in a prep golf match Thursday afternoon by two shots.

The Monarchs’ Mason Orndorff finished with a round of 41, which was good enough for medalist honors.

Buckeye Local tops Edison

RAYLAND — The Panthers posted a solid 183, which was 66 strokes better than Edison on Thursday.

The Panthers were led by medalist Aiden Polanski, who shot a 44.

Linsly 311, Fort Frye 330

WHEELING — Dylan Dunlevy and Ryan Dembiczak both shot a 75 to earn co-medalist honors as Linsly beat Fort Frye.

Dawson Layton also shot a 75 to pace Fort Frye.

Union Local d.

Shenandoah, 25-4, 25-7, 25-20

MORRISTOWN — Union Local stayed perfect on the season, posting a sweep of Shenandoah.

Sophomore Torre Kildow led the Jets once again with 17 kills, 11 assists and 12 digs.

Casey Kildow added eight kills, 17 assists and 17 digs. Baylee Rex had 10 assists and Lacy Bilyeu added 12 helpers.

St. Clairsville d.

H. Central, 25-20; 27-25, 25-18

ST. CLAIRSVILLE — The Red Devils picked up a much-needed victory, sweeping the Huskies.

The Devils were led by Alexis Thoburn’s 18 kills and 12 digs. Lauren Wasemann had nine kills. Ella Brad added 13 digs. Chloe Biancarelli posted 21 assists, five digs and two aces.

Monroe Central d. Bridgeport, 25-10, 25-14, 25-11

BRIDGEPORT — Monroe Central bounced back from its first loss of the season to sweep the homestanding Bulldogs.

25-15, 25-21, 18-25, 25-20

BELLAIRE – The Big Reds picked up their second win of the season with a four-set victory against the rival Purple Riders.

Allie Ault had seven kills, two aces and 15 digs, while Bryanna Beckett had 26 assists and two aces. Jayden Lowe donated five kills and seven digs.

Sidney Rowson had 14 digs, Gianna Schmidt added six kills, while Deena Call and Katelyn Hart went for five and four kills, respectively.
