Bellaire boys cruise past Bridgeport
BELLAIRE — The homesteading Big Reds opened the season impressively Wednesday evening.
Bellaire (1-0) shot out to a 26-12 lead and really never looked back en route to an 86-60 victory against Bridgeport.
The Big Reds were led by a quartet of double-figure scorers. Pacing the team was junior Jaren Cash, who poured in a game-high 26. Senior David Zwack had 19, while Andrew Little and Owen Ward went for 14 and 11, respectively.
Bridgeport (0-1) was led by Dylan Gregorcic, who had 17. Senior Adam Sommer and Cooper Dulesky added 14 and 11, respectively.
