WHEELING, W.Va. – Kalkreuth Roofing & Sheet Metal (KRSM) is excited to announce their annual Charity Golf Event benefitting Easterseals Rehabilitation Center in Wheeling, West Virginia, is all systems go for July 22-25, 2021. Despite making the tough choice to cancel the event for 2020, KRSM’s official public charity organization, Kalkreuth Roofing Charities, is proud to host a weekend of golf events once again.

This year, the Kalkreuth Vendor Invitational (KVI) will kick off on Thursday, July 22, with an exclusive vendor dinner at Oglebay in Glessner Auditorium, where a check will be presented to Easterseals during the dinner. The KVI golf scramble will take place at Oglebay Resort’s Speidel Golf Club on Friday, July 23.

Following the tradition of years past, the Kalkreuth Amateur Golf Championship (KAGC) tournament will take place over two days on July 24 and 25 on the Robert Trent Jones and Arnold Palmer golf courses at Oglebay Resort’s Speidel Golf Club in Wheeling, West Virginia. The KAGC is open to the public and has a long-standing history in the Ohio Valley. It serves as one of the premier amateur golf tournaments in the tri-state area, hosting nearly 300 golfers each year.

A portion of the proceeds from all of the events goes toward an annual donation to the local Easterseals affiliate in Wheeling. Easterseals strives to create solutions that change the lives of individuals in the Ohio Valley with disabilities, developmental delays, and other special needs.

Regardless of last year’s events being cancelled, Kalkreuth Roofing Charities, with the help of their vendor sponsors and partners, still donated $27,790 to Easterseals. The check was presented on July 24, 2020, to Jay Prager and Allison O’Konski, Easterseals CEO and Community Relations Director, respectively (photo provided).

This year’s check presentation will boost the total amount donated to Easterseals over the $150,000 mark, and Kalkreuth looks forward to continuing this annual event for years to come.
