Barnesville’s Flood records an ace in winning the Waterford Invite

BARNESVILLE senior Breanna Flood celebrates her first career ace on the 12th hole at Lakeside Golf Course in Beverly. Flood shot a round of 75 to win the female title.

BEVERLY — Breanna Flood had a round at the Waterford Invitational she won’t soon forget.

The Barnesville senior posted a solid score of 75 to claim the girls event championship. During the course of her round, she had a hole-in-one on the 12th hole at Lakeside Golf Course in Beverly.

Flood used an 8-iron to ace the 124-yard hole. The ace was the first of her career.

The Shamrock boys posted a round of 370 and were led by Hayden Treadway, who shot a solid 77.

Linsly edges St. Clairsville

WHEELING — St. Clairsville shot an impressive 302, but Linsly was even better, posting a 293 to defeat the Red Devils in a dual at Oglebay Park’s Crispin Course.

Linsly was led by match medalist Matteo Guzzo, who shot a lights out round of 67. Adam Gill and Matteo Pontecorvo each posted a round of 73.

The Red Devils were led by Brodi Foster’s 74 and Evan Fix’s 75.

Buckeye Local tops Edison

EAST SPRINGFIELD — The Panthers ran their record to 6-0 by edging Edison by 31 shots.

Buckeye Local fired a round of 178.

Aiden Polanski and Kamden Kinyo each had a 43 to share the medalist honors.
