St. Clairsville, Buckeye Local stay perfect in golf

RAYLAND — St. Clairsville picked up another triangular sweep on Tuesday, posting a score of 166.

The Red Devils toppled host Martins Ferry (188) and Magnolia (217) at BecWood Hills. St. John Central Academy made its golfing debut with two players.

Red Devil sophomore Andrew Abel was the match medalist, firing a round of 37. He was two shots better than classmate Brodi Foster, who was the runner-up medalist.

Buckeye Local tops Oak Glen

NEW CUMBERLAND — Buckeye Local remained perfect in matches with a six-shot win over host Oak Glen at Woodview Golf Course.

The Panthers posted a 172 and were led by co-medalist Aiden Polanski’s 39.

He was joined at 39 by Oak Glen’s Brady Chaney.
