Tolsia 25, Paden City 0
GLENHAYES, W.Va. — The host Rebels scored early and often in a game that was stopped – and declared official – with 52 seconds in the opening quarter.
Paden City senior lineman Isaiah Brady was injured after Tolsia’s fourth touchdown of the period and was taken from the stadium by ambulance.
After a brief discussion between the game officials and the coaches from both teams, the game was called.
Brady Mollette had a pair of touchdown runs for the Rebels (1-1), while Robert Evans and Luke Williamson added scoring runs in the winning effort.
Paden City was limited to minus-2 yards and had two turnovers over its five possessions before the contest was halted.
For Paden City (1-1), quarterback Kayden Myers finished 5-of-14 for 45 yards and an interception.
Madonna 28, Clay-Battelle 8
Madonna’s Maddox Bowen threw for 231 yards and two touchdowns and also added a rushing TD to lead Madonna to a 28-8 victory against Clay-Battelle.
Bowen threw two touchdowns in the first quarter — one of them a 44-yarder to Koleton Grishkevich — to get Madonna (2-0) a quick 14-0 lead.
He added a 2-yard touchdown run with 58 seconds left in the second quarter on what was a busted play.
On the other side, Clay-Battelle (1-1) was sluggish on offense and was unable to get its running game going.
The Cee-Bees were held to just 82 yards rushing and had just 26 yards on the ground at the half.
Clay-Battelle’s offense was led through the air by quarterback Braden Ponceroff, who completed 11 of 25 for 221 yards. He threw a 29-yard touchdown pass to Josiah Morgan with 4:42 remaining in the game, but by then the Blue Dons were already in control.
Bowen was the reason.
He was both efficient — completing 12 of 20 attempts — and electric with four completions that went for at least 34 yards.
He finished with 34 yards on the ground.

Edison 42, Southern Local 24
RICHMOND — Things certainly didn’t start the way Edison had planned them on Thursday night, but they ended precisely how the Wildcats hoped — with a win.
The Wildcats overcame an early two-score deficit by rattling off 28-straight points on the way to a victory over visiting Southern Local Thursday night at the Edison Unified Sports Complex.
Quarterback JD Henderson factored into five of Edison’s six scores and 307 of its 367 yards of offense, throwing for 182 yards and a pair of scores on just six completions and rushing for another 125 and three trips to the end zone on nine carries.
Southern Local (0-3) had jumped ahead 12-0 early in the second quarter. Their QB, Timmy Potts, who had a big night of his own with 116 rushing yards and three scores and another 118 and a passing TD through the air, ran for a 9-yard score on the opening drive of the game and added an 11-yard scoring pass to Landen Heffner (111 rushing yard) early in the second quarter after an Edison fumble.
Edison, though, answered right back when Trevor Eisnaugle took the ensuing kickoff 83 yards to score, and from there the Cats had all the momentum.
After a Zack Vangosen interception, Henderson fired a 46-yard TD to Cole Pittman to put Edison on top. Henderson then ran for a 14-yard score on the next drive to put Edison on top 21-12 at halftime.
