CINCINNATI, Ohio ?Mike Nazzaro is a successful entrepreneur and seasoned executive with extensive background in general management, marketing, and business operations.
For the last year, Mike has been leading the Nielsen-Catalina Joint Venture. He spearheaded the development of the concept, the business model, and the deal structure between the two parent companies. With its formation, he was named CEO of the venture.
While at The Nielsen Company, Mike ran the Consumer Panel Services business in North America, which included the Homescan Panel, Spectra Marketing, and Nielsen’s Loyalty business. Mike also served as President of Nielsen BuzzMetrics following the formation of this company in early 2006. He was responsible for the overall operation of the business, including, commercial functions, product development, and technology.
From 2001-2005, he served as CEO of marketing intelligence firm Intelliseek, which was acquired by Nielsen BuzzMetrics in 2006. During this period, Intelliseek became the industry leader, while achieving record sales growth and profitability. Intelliseek also realized significant margin and customer satisfaction improvement, achieved through a comprehensive re-engineering of the customer delivery process.
Prior to Intelliseek, he was a founder of PlanetFeedback, which merged with Intelliseek in 2001.Mike served as President, as PlanetFeedback grew from a startup company to a leading consumer feedback management company in two short years. He led the company through several rounds of venture capital financing.
In the 1990s, Mike spent several years in various brand management and executive positions at the Procter & Gamble Company, where he was responsible for running some of P&G’s largest brands, with annual sales in excess of $1 billion and a marketing budgets of more than $150 million. He was responsible for managing both current and upstream business, managing six agency relationships, and leading multi-functional Business Teams. Under Mike, his businesses posted record volume, sales and profit.
Prior to this, Mike was a Brand Manager of New Business Development at P&G, responsible for organic brand creation, the evaluation of acquisition opportunities and several major brands, including Pampers Diapers and Bounty Paper Towels, all with annual sales in excess of $1 billion.
Mike received his master’s in business administration in 1993 from Harvard Business School, achieving academic honors and serving as the elected president of the 1,650-person student body. He received undergraduate honors in 1988 from Carnegie Mellon University, where he was active in his fraternity and lettered in varsity football.
