OVMC's Program of Radiologic Technology provides students with a high quality, competency-based, clinical and didactic education in preparation for the entry-level job market in diagnostic radiology. The 24-month hospital-based program consistently monitors and evaluates each student's affective, cognitive, and psychomotor abilities in the didactic and clinical setting to assure the student maintains his/her goals of attaining a quality education and becoming a professional with a career in radiology. Upon completion of the program, graduates are awarded a diploma and are eligible to apply for admission to the certification examination administered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists. Registered radiologic technologists and radiology students may apply for membership in the American Society of Radiologic Technologists and the West Virginia Society of Radiologic Technologists.
