MARTINS FERRY — Ohio Valley residents woke up to a surprise coating of snow this morning. While the forecast called for just a dusting, there appeared to be at least 4 inches on the ground in the Martins Ferry area.
Motorists took their time to reach their destinations, but by about 9 a.m. one major roadway, Ohio 7, was mostly just wet. Plowing by Ohio Department of Transportation plow trucks and an abundance of sunshine helped clear the way.
An ODOT truck could also be seen helping clear Hanover Street and Zane Highway in Martins Ferry this morning.
