Jefferson County court totals released

STEUBENVILLE — Jefferson County Clerk of Courts John Corrigan has released his report for April.

The auto title department collected vehicle fees and taxes of $786,231, with $38,331 going to the county and $747,899 going to the state. Miscellaneous fees were $5,531 and watercraft fees $508.

Total fees and taxes were $805,373, with $44,371 going to the county and $761,001 to the state.

For the legal department, new cases filed included miscellaneous, 13; Ohio Department of Taxation, 63; certificate of judgment, 45; civil, 60; notaries, 10; domestic, 21; criminal, 20; and court of appeals, two.

Clerk fees paid into the county totaled $12,091.

The Rayland title office processed 846 titles with license plate revenue of $762.

Also processed were 41 passports with revenue of $1,435.

The courthouse title office processed 46 passports with revenue of $1,150; recorded license plate revenue of $1,662; and saw a total of $44,298 in total auto title fees paid. The total revenue paid into the county was $46,723, with county total titles of 2,918.
