Harrison?Central Boosters holding drawing

THE HARRISON Central Boosters Club will hold a reverse drawing on Sunday at Wallace Lodge in Sally Buffalo Park, Cadiz.

Drawings will start at 2 p.m. with the final drawing for a golf trip (or $1,000) at 7 p.m. (Drawings will be held every 15 minutes.)

Cost is $10 per ticket and includes food and drinks throughout the day.

THE CADIZ American Legion Junior Auxiliary will host a Breakfast with the Easter Bunny on Sunday from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. at the post home.

Cost is $6 for adults and $3 for children and includes a buffet featuring pancakes, eggs, bacon, sausage links, sausage gravy and biscuts, toast, orange juice and milk.

The group invites parents and grandparents to bring along their cameras because the Easter Bunny will be taking time for photo opportunities with each child.

THE LUCAS Sedgmer Memorial Scholarship Sportsman’s Feast will be held today at the New Athens Fire Hall. Doors are set to open at 3 p.m. with food service, featuring wild game, fried fish, ham, hot chicken, turkey and more, to begin at 4 p.m.

Numerouss events will be held including both live and silent auctions, cornhole competition, door prizes, gun raffles, 50/50 raffle and door prizes. Other items to be included in the raffles and auctions are gift baskets, flat screen television, an Ohio State Buckeye print signed by Archie Griffen, kids’ pedal John Deere tractor, Cleveland Browns items, gift certificates and many other items. There will also be t-shirt sales and more! Music will be provided by DJ Jeremy Thompson.

All proceeds from the event are used to provide annual scholarships to several graduates of Harrison Central High School and to an Ohio Valley Athletic Conference wrestler.

ANOTHER EVENT happening today is a Cornhole Tournament at the Jewett Wildcat Community Center this Saturday. Registration will begin at 5:30 p.m. Cost is $5. (5 Games and blind draw) There will be a concession stand available.

In addition, the Center will also host a Movie Night on Friday, April 15. Students and families are all welcome. Movie will be announced closer to the date. This is a wonderful opportunity to get out with your children and grandchildren for family time at a very decent price.

EVERYONE IS invited to Longaberger Basket Bingo at the Hopedale Social Hall on Sunday, to benefit the Harrison COunty Cancer Society’s Relay for Life.

The event is scheduled to being at 2 p.m. Tickets, available at the door, are $20 which includes 20 games for chances at Longaberger baskets filled with treasures. Raffles, refreshments, Early Bird Game and a cover-all will also be held.

THE JEWETT Volunteer Fire Department will host its monthly dinner on Sunday, April 10, from 11 a.m until 1 p.m. The menu will include pork chops, vegetable, salad, bread andbeverages. Adults meals are $8 while children can dine for $4. Public is always welcome!

MARK YOUR calendars for the Harrison Central’s Spring play on April 15 and 16.

The curtain will rise at 8 p.m. for the production of “Grease” featuring many students from throughout the area. Cody Barcroft and Abbi Dodds will portray Danny and Sandy.

Cost is $8 for adults and $5 for students.

THE PURPLE Heart Palace located at the Old Hopedale Mill will be hosting a Cornhole Tournament on April 16.

Registration is set to begin at 12 p.m. with competition scheduled to commence at 1 p.m.

Cost is $10 a team, pick your own teammate.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three placers. A 50/50 drawing will also be held. Food, including hot dogs, coney and sloopy joes, and more will be available for donation only.

All proceeds will be used for renovations at The Purple Heart Palace.

A TEEN makeup night will be held Tuesday at the Puskarich Public Library in Cadiz.

The event will be held from 6- 7 p.m. and will feature demonstrations and tips from makerup artist Stephanie Dowdle from Class Act Hair Design in Cadiz. She has 13 years of experience with Elizabeth Arden and will assist teens with makeup tips.

It is the perfect opportunity for teens sto get tips from a pro and win prizes at the same time.

THE BUSINESS 2 Business After Hours will be held Tuesday, April 12 at 6:30 p.m. at The Cafe Express located just across from the Tappan Lake Boat launch ramp near the dam.

Snacks and refreshments will be served with a guest speaker from ITownz to enlighten those in attendance with way to enhance their business recognition.
