YTR taking on appearance of summer

The approach of summer is evident in YTR. Neighbors are planting flowers and vegetable gardens. Our Buckeye Local students are anxiously awaiting the WT Pool to be open today and for school to be out on June 4. Little League games are in full swing and soon swim meets will begin at the pool. The shelters at the park are filled with people celebrating family reunions, graduation or just getting together with friends. While so many of our residents spend time out doors, it is important to be respectful of our neighbors and proud of our area. Keeping our lawns trimmed and sprucing up around our property makes the whole YTR area appealing to both residents and visitors.

Remember

So many of us celebrated Memorial Day with cookouts and parties. Others took flags and flowers to the cemetery in memory of loved ones. We must always remember those who served. We should also keep those currently in our armed forces in our hearts and in our prayers. And to the families of those who serve, we thank you for your sacrifice. While their loved one serves, we must support these families in any we can. To the parents of a son or daughter currently deployed a note or a nod of appreciation is always welcome. If you know of a person whose spouse has been deployed, find out if the family needs a helping hand. Toss a ball with a young child who misses his daddy or mommy. Ask how you can help. It will surely be appreciated and always remembered.
