ST. CLAIRSVILLE -- The 174th annual Belmont County Fair is set to wrap up this weekend, but it still has many events for fair-goers to enjoy.
The fair will close at 5 p.m. Sunday.
Friday was Senior Citizen Day, meaning that all attendees ages 62 and over received free admission before noon.
"It's nice to go to the fair, eat good food and enjoy the excitement," Robert Archer of the St. Clairsville area said.
According to the fair's website, rides will be open from noon to 5 p.m. and 6-11 p.m. on Saturday and from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday. Rides are free with general admission. Holders of all tickets, passes or junior fair armbands can purchase a ride pass from Lisko Amusements Inc., which will entitle them to ride all mechanical rides for that day only.
Flushed, a local band composed of Max Miller and Luke Taylor, will perform at 4 p.m. Saturday on the Robinson Stage, located in the same parking lot as the Wise Building.
The band has been performing all over the area at venues in Cambridge, Barnesville and Newcomerstown.
Mike Albert will be performing the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Show at 7 p.m. Saturday at Robinson Stage. Albert has performed internationally as an Elvis impersonator. In the past, Albert has toured with vocal groups that originally backed Elvis, including the Jordanaires and J.D. Sumner and The Stamps Quartet.
The annual demolition derby will take place at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
