ST. CLAIRSVILLE — A Wheeling man was arrested Wednesday after allegedly trying to meet a 14-year-old girl through the internet. That Facebook account the man allegedly interacted with was run by the St. Clairsville Police Department. Gary Spence, 33, was arrested, according to the St. Clairsville Police Department, after he allegedly started talking on Facebook with who he believed to be a 14-year-old girl. EAST PALESTINE — Oral arguments in the appeal of last year’s $600 million settlement between Norfolk Southern and residents impacted by the 2023 train derailment related to how the legal fees were determined and distributed will be heard today in Cincinnati’s Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. Victorian Fall SPOOK-tacular Festival at Mansion Museum will be held Oct. 25

BARNESVILLE — The Belmont County Victorian Mansion Museum will hold a Victorian Fall SPOOK-tacular festival on Saturday, Oct. 25. Activities include cemetery tours, psychic readings, and a silent movie on the back lawn. This year’s graveyard tour features Barnesville’s Northern Cemetery. Participants will learn Barnesville’s history through the stories of the people buried there.
