SMITHFIEILD TOWNSHIP Trustees will hold their yearly re-organizational meeting at 6 p.m. Jan. 2 at the Smithfield Building.

SHADYSIDE LOCAL Board of Education’s public hearing regarding its budget is set for 10 a.m. Jan. 7 at the board office Shadyside Local Board of Education, 3890 Lincoln Ave., Shadyside.

“FOOD SERVICE Health Inspections: Food Safety and Quality” is the topic of the next Lunch & Learn Workshop at Harrison Community Hospital. The workshop will be held in the HCH cafeteria at noon Jan. 9. Erika Battistel and Jade Brown of the Harrison County Health Department will discuss what food inspectors expect and investigate. Lunch & Learn Workshops are held on the first Thursday of every month except December. The workshops are free to the public. Attendees may bring their own lunch or can purchase one in the cafeteria.

A snack and beverages will be provided. Reservations are not needed. HCH is a division of Wheeling Hospital.
