Artworks Around Town reopens

WHEELING — After almost a two-month closure due to the COVID-19 virus pandemic restrictions, Artworks Around Town has reopened.

Located in Wheeling’s Historic Centre Market, the art gallery had been shuttered in order to protect the health and well being of its members and guests.

Limited hours of operation will be in effect at first. Hours are 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday-Saturday until June 1. After June 1, the gallery will close at 5:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and Saturdays and at 6 p.m. Fridays.

Member artists will greet you with smiling eyes and masks for a while.

Guest artist exhibits, receptions and Gallery hops as well as classes will be suspended for the foreseeable future, but will continue as soon as deemed safe to do so.

Visit the gallery soon to celebrate the artists (who have missed patrons) and their amazing work, some of it done during the quarantine. Artworks Around Town is a gallery dedicated to promoting local artists and community educational programs.
