From Hollywood to the Ohio Valley with the Chrisagis Brothers

CD release party features celebrities

BRIAN AND SHAWN CHRISAGIS

RAYLAND — On July 31 at the Buckeye Local High School Auditorium in Rayland people are invited to celebrate the Chrisagis Brothers 12th musical CD release titled “Let Heaven Overflow.”

When the Chrisagis Brothers throw a party it’s never a small event. Over the years the brothers, twins Brian and Shawn Chrisagis, have always done huge yearly events with celebrity guests from Hollywood to Christian music to legends from Dove and Grammy awards history.

This year might be their biggest event yet. Three legends in Hollywood history will be coming to the valley for a one-night event. These entertainers have had successful careers and are still powerful in Hollywood after four decades:

∫ Erik Estrada. Star of TV’s C.H.i.P.’s as Officer Francis Llewelyn “Ponch” Poncherello and from films like The Cross and the Switchblade, Finding Faith, The Last Riders and Honeyboy. He broke new ground for all Latino actors and will forever be one of the pioneers to get the respect of Hollywood for ethnic actors. Estrada received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame and is giving back to his fans by becoming a real life police officer. The actor from “CHiPs” fame was sworn in as a reserve police officer in the tiny town of St. Anthony, Idaho, with a focus on protecting children from online predators. Ohio is the No. 1 state for sex trafficking so Estrada coming here is very timely. Estrada is also still working hard on bringing quality Christian family movies to the screen. He has been a long time friend who is like family to the Chrisagis Brothers. They have been close for about 30 years now.

∫ Loni Anderson. Star of the TV show WKRP in Cincinnati, she is known for her role as receptionist Jennifer Marlowe which earned her three Golden Globe Awards and two Emmy Award nominations. She has been a successful actress in TV and films with such incredible performances in movies like The Jayne Mansfield Story, White Hot: The Mysterious Murder of Thelma Todd, Too Good to be True, Three Coins in the Fountain, Sorry Wrong Number, and Whisper Kill to name a few. She is also an amazing comedian who starred in TV shows like Easy Street, Partners in Crime with Lynda Carter and Nurses. Anderson penned her autobiography and has become a role model to women who have gone through scandals, divorce, heartbreak and became stronger by embracing her Faith in the Lord. This once Sunday School teacher now speaks out on COPD and multiple sclerosis.

∫ Lindsay Wagner. Star of TV’s The Bionic Woman, in which she portrayed action character Jaime Sommers. She was known as the very first female superhero to get a TV series. She is a Primetime Emmy winner and won the award from TV Land as The Greatest Gadget Award. She has a star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame. Wagner became one of TV’s most sought after actresses known as the Movie Queen. She changed laws with her movies and created platforms to raise awareness of issues like domestic abuse, child abuse, anti-semitism and racism. Her career highlights are over 93 roles and nine nominations for awards winning several along the way. Her movies include Shattered Dreams, A Message from Holly, Evil in Clear River, Nightmare at Bitter Creek, A Child’s Cry and This Child is Mine, to name a few. She has been a friend to the Chrisagis brothers for the last 11 years and hosted one of their other CD releases. Today, she inspires the world with her off-screen quest for healthy living. Her fight against violence and her positive workshops of Hope, Love and Peace are called Quiet the Mind, Open the Heart.
