Fall time fun and food
After a long hot summer the recent cool days of the new fall season are welcomed by many, I think.
I thought I wouldn’t feel that way myself, but I’ve enjoyed not breaking a sweat driving in my car without air conditioning.
There’s also the whole pumpkins and pumpkin- flavored everything everywhere. I haven’t dove into that yet, but it’s coming. Actually just thinking about it makes me want to bake a pumpkin pie. That’s our son Henry’s favorite and my husband’s specialty. He also makes really good dense cheesecake. This is usually his Christmastime treat, but maybe I can convince him to make one, say, today?
We’ll see.
If not Kroger makes a variety pack cheesecake that is good, and Tina’s Sweet Celebrations in Martins Ferry has some cheesecake that rivals my hubby’s. Her’s is the kind you eat and feel a little guilty about, but it’s so good it takes all your willpower not to eat a second piece.
Well, now that I have my taste buds watering and all in a flurry, I have to go see what will pass as dessert in the cupboard at this moment.
Happy fall, ya’ll!
