‘Storybook Park’ to feature stories, art and music

Library event set for Barnesville Memorial Park

STORYBOOK PARK will feature original artwork created by inmates at the Belmont Correctional Institution.

BARNESVILLE — The Barnesville Hutton Memorial Library is busy preparing for the return of Storybook Park.

Organizers say to “mark your calendars for a great day of family fun” from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Barnesville Memorial Park.

In store for participants this year are four exciting stories, a sing-a-long and much more. The stories that have been selected for the event are: “Do Not Bring Your Dragon to the Library”, “Fiona the Hippo,” “Goodnight Football,” and “If Kids Could Drive.”

“Come see the stories come to life as the artwork, scenes and decorations have once again been made by the Belmont Correctional Institution,” according to the library.

Activities included in the fun family day will be stories, crafts, singing, clowns, balloons, free books and costume characters.
