ADENA — The Adena Lions Club will be presenting its annual Christmas cantata this Sunday, Dec. 5. There will be a 2 p.m. presentation at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church in Adena and a 7 p.m. presentation at the Mt. Pleasant Presbyterian Church.

This year, the choir will be presenting one of its classics titled “Call Him Jesus” which was written by Marty Parks. Admission to the cantata is free, and there is open seating.

A monetary love offering will be collected with all of the collection going to the Adena and Dillonvale food pantries. There will be refreshments following the 7 p.m. presentation.

Dustin Kinsey and Dan Smallwood are co-directing the cantata this year. There are 25 members in the choir.

Kinsey states, “We are so excited to be presenting the cantata in-person again after not being able to last year.

Over the past 35 years, the Adena Lions Club cantata has become a special December tradition for many families. If you have never been to one, come check it out and you will be blessed.”

For more information about the cantata, call Kinsey at 740-391-6052 or email him at dkinsey86@comcast.net.
