EORWA employees win awards for work
BELLAIRE — The Southeast Ohio Water Association recently held its Past Presidents and Award Workshop in Delaware, Ohio, on May 12.
There were 14 Awards given out to individuals honoring contributions made in the Water and Wastewater Industry.
Eastern Ohio Regional Wastewater Authority received two awards. Chad Buksa, operator of maintenance, received the Professional Wastewater Operations Award. The award honored individuals doing “Front Line” work and who have contributed practical application, professionalism and dedication to their particular wastewater treatment system.
In addition, Valerie Moore, executive director, received the Supervisor’s Award (J.W. Ellmas Award). This award is presented to an administrative or supervisory position, stressing participation in conference activities, civic affairs, and leadership.
The awards were presented by Tiffany Maag, president of the association.
The Southeast Section covers the following counties: Athens, Belmont, Carroll, Coshocton, Delaware, Fairfield, Franklin, Gallia, Guernsey, Harrison, Hocking, Jackson, Jefferson, Lawrence, Licking, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Muskingum, Noble, Perry, Pickaway, Pike, Ross, Scioto, Tuscarawas, Vinton, and Washington Counties.
