BETHESDA — The village of Bethesda’s police chief is looking to provide a good Christmas for some children in need with help from the community.

Chief Christopher Storm said this Christmas he aims to take at least 10 children from the village and Goshen Township on a shopping trip for Christmas presents.

“I would also like to purchase at least two or three gifts for every child in Bethesda and Goshen Township. If you have children up to age 18, please sign them up for the drawing,” he said.

Storm said he will need the child’s name, male or female, age, mailing address, email and phone number.

“I would still like to include your children if you do not celebrate Christmas,” he noted.

To help make this endeavor happen, Storm is seeking donations.

“If we raise enough, I would like to have Breakfast with Santa Claus and my officers. No child will be left giftless in Bethesda or Goshen Township,” he said.

Donations of new, unopened toys can be left at city hall.

Monetary donations can also be left there, or people can donate here through the department’s Go Fund Me page: gofund.me/9991d1f6.

Checks can also be made out to Bethesda Police Department with “Christmas With Cops 2022” in the memo line. Mail the checks to Bethesda Police Department, 112 Main Street, P.O. Box 95, Bethesda, OH 43719.
