Chelsey Keding to entertain Thursday Music Club on Dec. 1

Chelsey Keding will entertain The Thursday Music Club at 11 a.m. Dec. 1 at CharHouse On The Blvd.

The Thursday Music Club, under the direction of Anita Chops and accompanist Debbie Breiding, has been practicing every Wednesday at Elm Grove United Methodist Church for four Christmas concerts: Dec. 6 at Wheeling Country Club, “Symtosiarchs” a Literary Essayist Club; Dec. 12 at Home of Good Shepherd; Dec. 13 at Elmhurst, The House of Friendship; and Dec. 14 at Welty Nursing Home.

There is no Study Group meeting in the months of December and January but will resume in February.

The Thursday Music Club Youth Auditions will be held on March 24-25 at Vance Memorial Presbyterian Church. The recital will be on April 2. For more information call Chops at 304-551-1414.

There is no Thursday Music Club luncheon in January. The next luncheon will be Feb. 2. Gerald Lee of West Liberty University will be the entertainer.

About Chelsey Keding

Keding was born and raised in Wheeling, and is happy to be back in the area sharing her love of the performing arts. She began singing at age 7 and went on to receive her Bachelor of Music Degree in Vocal Performance from The Manhattan School of Music Conservatory.

She spent the next 10 years performing in NYC and around the world. Among various other regional tours and off Broadway shows, Chelsey was in the original cast of the Off Broadway a cappella sensation: “Voca People”, and went on to tour with the show Internationally in Israel, Russia and Mexico. She was a member of the Grammy nominated group “Broadway Inspirational Voices”, with whom she sang at Carnegie Hall with the NY Pops and at Madison Square Garden for the Pope’s Pre-Mass.

She can be heard on their second album “Great Joy II.” Keding has performed on Live with Kelly, Wendy Williams, Fox and Friends and The Jimmy Fallon Show. She has also had the honor of sharing the stage with Gloria Estefan, Sting, Harry Connick Jr., Faith Evans, Billy Ray Cyrus, and Jordan Sparks among others. She was an adjunct acting professor at Marietta College in 2021 and has been running her own Voice Studio in the Ohio Valley for the last seven years, teaching lessons to students of all ages.
