FLUSHING — One of the greatest attributes of the Masonic Fraternity is to come to the aid of worthy and distressed brethren.
This is exactly what members of the Flushing Masonic Lodge #298 did in connection with the Scio Sportsman’s Club.
The secretary of the Flushing Masonic Lodge contacted the Grand Lodge of Ohio and through the Grand Lodge Charitable Foundation a check was sent to the lodge to be given to Chad Dulkoski — a member of Flushing Lodge and the Scio Sportsman’s Club. Dulkoski’s house was deemed a total loss after a fire a short time before.
At the same time the Flushing Masonic Lodge #298 joined forces with the Scio Sportsman’s Club to organize a fundraiser to further aid and assist Dulkoski. Many other organizations, churches and individuals also contributed to the Dulkoski family through donations of clothes, house goods and monetary donations.
The check from the Grand Lodge was distributed to Dulkoski at the parking lot of the Microtel Motel in Cadiz where his family was temporarily relocated.
All individuals are members of the Flushing Masonic Lodge. In total, the family received about $4,700 in donations from the lodges and club.
