FLUSHING ALLIANCE Church will again hold its Missions Fest from noon until 4 p.m. May 20 at Schuler Park, 395 Morristown St., Flushing. There will be a car show and food vendors. Children will have fun playing games and grown-ups can find some goodies at the craft and vendor show or bid on some cool items at the auction. Donations are still being accepted. AT 1 P.M. April 30 members of the Jefferson County Chapter of the Ohio Genealogical Society, the Historical Society of Mt. Pleasant, and members of the public will meet for lunch at The Farm Restaurant, Ohio Route 150 near Mt. Pleasant. Following lunch, officers of both groups will present information about each organization and how the public can be involved.

Sally Culler, owner of The Farm, will speak about the historic house and farm, which date back to 1857.

A tour of the Historic Quaker Meeting House in Mt. Pleasant will be given by a member of the Historical Society of Mt. Pleasant. The meeting house is a short drive from The Farm.

SUNDAY, APRIL 30, Pastor Jerry Wenger will be sharing on “Living for Jesus in a Corrupt and Hostile World” from 1 Peter 2:13-25 at the 8:15 a.m. traditional service, 9:30 a.m. contemporary service and the 11 a.m. blended service at East Richland Friends Church, 67885 Friends Church Road, St. Clairsville. THERE WILL be a free film showing on Tuesday at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library. The start time will be 6 p.m., taking place in the downstairs meeting room. Seating is limited.

The feature is “The Fabelmans,” loosely based on director Steven Spielberg’s childhood. This 2022 film is rated PG-13 and runs for 151 minutes. Call 304-845-6911 for more information. The Moundsville Library is located at the corner of Fifth Street and Tomlinson Avenue.

THE MOUNDSVILLE-MARSHALL County Public Library will host the Pittsburgh Puppet Works at 5:30 p.m. Thursday for a special National Library Week performance. This professional puppet troupe will entertain children with the show “A Bee C’s Dee.”

The 35-minute long program features familiar tunes with alphabet themes, silliness and is a great way for kids to catch the reading “bug.” It is free and open to the public, aimed at preschoolers to about age 8. BRILLIANT UNITED Methodist Church will hold its annual Strawberry Festival from 2-4 p.m. June 4. Entertainment by the Ron Retzer Trio. The event will feature food, entertainment and fellowship.

NATIONAL TRAIL Stitchers, Embroidery Guild of America will meet at 6 p.m. April 29 at Trinity Episcopal Church, located at 1 Oak Ave., Moundsville. Anyone interested in needlework of all kinds is invited to attend. SPRING SING-SPIRATION will be held at 3 p.m. April 23 at Wayman Church, 1136 Eoff St., Wheeling.

GRIEFSHARE GRIEF recovery seminar and support care will meet at The Vineyard Church, 647 Warden Run Road, Wheeling. GriefShare features nationally recognized experts on grief recovery topics. Sessions include “Is This Normal?”, “Why?” & “The Challenges of Grief.” The sessions continue until May 11. JOHN MARSHALL High School Class of 1972 will hold its 50th reunion at 6 p.m. May 20 at Undo’s West in St. Clairsville.
