Virtual Lions host steak fry

The Ohio County Virtual Lions Club is announcing its steak fry on April 29 from 6 p.m.-10 p.m. at the Warwood Vets Club. The proceeds from this event will fund service projects for those in need.

This is the first steak fry hosted by the Ohio County Virtual Lions.

The menu will feature a choice of steak or chicken from Outback Steakhouse with a baked potato, salad, bread, water, dessert and two drink tickets. It’s a typical steak fry where attendees will be expected to bring their own place settings, but staff from Outback Steakhouse will prepare the dinner.

The entertainment for the evening will include 50/50 raffles, auction baskets, tip boards and more. Currently, the Ohio County Virtual Lions Club are asking for donations of items for the raffles.

“We think that people coming to our steak fry will be excited to see items up for grabs from local businesses,” explained OCVLC President Kris Quinn. “We love to partner with local organizations for our service projects, so we hope that they’ll help us this time to make our first steak fry a huge success.”

The Ohio County Virtual Lions Club chartered in February 2020 as the first virtual Lions Club only the 16th in the country.

The need for flexibility regarding meetings was recognized and immediately put into action with the formation of the virtual club.

In addition to being a virtual club, the Ohio County Virtual Lions focused on addressing the needs of children as a specialty club.

The Ohio County Virtual Lions worked tirelessly to implement service projects in the five global causes of Lions International: environment, childhood cancer, diabetes, vision and hunger.

Tickets are on sale until April 16 for the steak fry and can be purchased online at: https://buytickets.at/ohiocountyvirtuallionsclub/858397
