THE REGULAR monthly meeting of the Wheeling Newcomer’s Club will be held at the Wheeling Country Club at 10:30 a.m. Thursday. The club is open to all new or returning ladies to the Wheeling area. It is a great way to learn about people and places in and around the Ohio Valley and make new friends in the process!

In May, will be installation of the officers for 2023-24; a luncheon will follow. For more information or to make a reservation, call 304-242-1318 prior to 10 a.m. Tuesday.

A FREE film will be shown Monday at the Moundsville-Marshall County Public Library. The start time will be 6:30 p.m. in the downstairs meeting room. Seating is limited. The feature is “Jesus Revolution,” based on the book by Ellen Vaughn and Greg Laurie. This 2022 film is rated PG-13 and runs for 126 minutes. Call 304-845-6911 for more information. ELM GROVE United Methodist Church, 125 Kruger St., Wheeling, will host a quarter auction on May 13. Doors open at 11 a.m.; auction begins at noon.

GLENCOE AMERICAN Legion will benefit from a spaghetti dinner and dance held from 3-11 p.m., with dinner served until 7 p.m., May 13 at the J.B. Martin Recreation Center in St. Clairsville. The menu will include spaghetti, salad with dressing, bread and dessert. There will be raffles, a 50/50 drawing, an auction and more. All proceeds go to the Glencoe American Legion Building Fund. GLEN ROBBINS Presbyterian Church will be holding its annual Spring Rummage Sale on May 6 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Fill a small garbage bag for $5 or a large garbage bag for $10.

FLUSHING ALLIANCE Church will again hold its Missions Fest from noon until 4 p.m. May 20 at Schuler Park, 395 Morristown St., Flushing.

There will be a car show and food vendors. Children will have fun playing games and grown-ups can find some goodies at the craft and vendor show or bid on some cool items at the auction. Donations are still being accepted. Call Dalton VanCuren at 740-310-2341.

BRILLIANT UNITED Methodist Church will hold its annual Strawberry Festival from 2-4 p.m. June 4. Entertainment by the Ron Retzer Trio. The event will feature food, entertainment and fellowship.

GRIEFSHARE GRIEF recovery seminar and support care will meet at The Vineyard Church, 647 Warden Run Road, Wheeling. GriefShare features nationally recognized experts on grief recovery topics. Sessions include “Is This Normal?”, “Why?” & “The Challenges of Grief.” The sessions continue until May 11. JOHN MARSHALL High School Class of 1972 will hold its 50th reunion at 6 p.m. May 20 at

Undo’s West in St. Clairsville. Last day to register and pay is May 1. Cost is $50 per person.

SUNDAY, May 14, Happy Mother’s Day, guest speaker Deb Robinson, former director of Alumni and Parent Relations of Malone University, will be sharing at the 8:15 a.m. traditional service, 9:30 a.m. contemporary service and the 11 a.m. blended service at East Richland Friends Church, 67885 Friends Church Road, St. Clairsville.

The public is invited and can join online at erfriends.com/watch or on Facebook.com/eastrichland. Classes are provided for children from newborn to grade six during the entire morning. FSM Youth (7th-12th) is available at 11 a.m. in the Ickes Family Life Center.
