Rodger and Marlene (Maggie) Kolar will celebrate their 25th wedding anniversary on Sept. 18. They were united in marriage Sept. 18, 1982 at the First Christian Church in Martins Ferry, with the late Sheldon Thomas officiating.
Kolar is the son of the late Andrew and the late Gladys Kolar. He is a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and a retired crane operator from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel Corp. in Mingo Junction. He is currently working for Bridgeport Auto Parts Inc. in Bridgeport. His wife, Maggie is the daughter of the late William G. Barbe and the late Barbara Barbe Fisher. She works for the Belmont Community Hospital in Bellaire in the behavioral medicine department as a CNA-MHA.
Rodger has a son, Andy and his wife Sherri, who lives in the Zanesville area. His wife Maggie has a daughter, Dawn, who lives in Wheeling and is the mother of their two grandsons, Jacob who is 2 and Levi, 10.
A dinner celebration with friends and a trip to visit family in Chesapeake, Va. is planned.
