WILLIAM R. "Rollie'' and Shelva Woods celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Sept. 7. They were united in marriage Sept. 7, 1957 at the Methodist church in McMechen, W.Va.
Woods is the son of Edith Woods of Farmington and the late Wallace Woods. He is a retired machinist from Wheeling Pittsburgh Steel, Yorkville Plant. His wife, Shelva is the daughter of the late Clarence and Elsie Cecil. She is retired from K-mart.
The couple has four daughters, Tammy and her husband, Charles Myers of Martins Ferry, Beth and her husband, Larry Bickerstaff, Allison Craig and Stacey and her husband, Phil Bliss, all of Colerain. They also have eight grandchildren, Mandy and Adam Helt, James and Jonathan Boggs, Lakyn Craig and Kaitlyn, Brandon and Julia Bliss.
The couple celebrated with a family dinner at the Farm Restaurant on Saturday.
